ARTIST RIGHTS & PAYOUT OVERVIEW
MUSQZONE – Artist Rights, Payouts & Platform Overview
This document explains how music sales, payouts, ownership, and legal responsibilities work on the MUSQZONE platform. It is provided to artists before going live to ensure clarity, transparency, and alignment.
1. Platform Role
MUSQZONE operates solely as a curated digital sales platform. The platform provides artist pages, payment processing, and sales tracking. MUSQZONE is not a record label, publisher, or copyright administrator.
2. Ownership & Rights
Artists retain 100% ownership of their music, including the master recordings, compositions, and lyrics. By submitting music to MUSQZONE, the artist confirms that they own or control all necessary rights to sell the music directly to fans.
Artists certify that:
• They own or control the master recordings
• They own or control the composition and publishing
• Any samples used are cleared or original
• No third party is owed royalties from sales made on MUSQZONE
3. Copyright & Publishing Responsibilities
Artists are responsible for handling all copyright registrations, publishing administration,
performance royalties, mechanical royalties, and collaborator splits. MUSQZONE does not
register music with copyright offices or performing rights organizations on behalf of artists.
4. Sales & Supporter Payments
Supporters purchase music directly through the artist’s private MUSQZONE page. Supporters
may pay the listed price or choose to pay more as a form of direct support.
5. Revenue Split & Payouts (Year One)
Artists receive 85% of all music sales generated on their page. MUSQZONE retains 15% to
support platform hosting, infrastructure, and marketing tools.
Sales are tracked automatically. Payouts are processed on a monthly basis. Artists are paid
their share of all completed sales for that month.
6. Year One Performance Baseline
The first year focuses on consistency and growth. Artists are expected to generate a minimum of $1,000 per month in gross music sales. Most artists meet this through promotion. If the minimum is not met, any remaining balance may be settled at the end of the annual term.
7. Term, Renewal & Exit
Artist participation operates on a one-year term. At the end of the term, artists maychoose to renew or exit the platform. If an artist chooses not to renew, they are only required to complete the terms of the current year. Once complete, their music will be removed from the platformupon request.
8. Disputes & Takedowns
If a copyright or ownership dispute arises, MUSQZONE reserves the right to temporarily
remove the affected content while the artist resolves the issue. MUSQZONE may request
proof of ownership or clearance if necessary.
9. Final Notes
This document is intended to provide clarity and alignment before launch. By proceeding with publication on MUSQZONE, artists acknowledge and agree to these terms
